La Galleria 33 Receives Good Neighbor Recognition Award

The Good Neighbor Recognition Award for October 2013 was presented to Rita DiPietrantonio who owns La Galleria 33 with her sister Lisa. The award was given by the North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA).

The presentation was made by NEWRA Recognition Committee Chair, Janet Gilardi, outside the Italian Restaurant at 125 Salem Street.

The monthly award is voted by NEWRA’s Executive Committee and given to local businesses, organizations and property owners that consistently keep the areas around their property clean of trash and debris.

  2. Anyone see the Kitchen Nightmares episodes on their restaurant? It appeared (you have to take EVERYTHING you see in a “reality” show with a hefty grain of salt) that they were running the type of restaurant that gives the NE a bad name (ie crap foodserve quality Italian) but they seem to have turned it around. I’ve been many times, both before and after, and the food and service is so much better now. Brunches especially are top notch Keep up the good work ladies!
