North End Youth Hockey is in the process of accepting registration for this years Introduction Program. This is a wonderful program for kids who are interested in learning the fundamentals of ice hockey in a fun atmosphere. Last year was a huge success and I hope to make this year’s program bigger and better. My hope is to increase participation so we can expand our program so that the North End can have a full Youth Hockey Program. However, our introduction program is designed to develop and strengthen skating skills by introducing proper stance and improve balance & agility. Our key objectives are to enhance starting, stopping, gliding and striding skills; forward, backward and lateral skating; basic puck handling and shooting drills; and, of course, practice games.
This is a 15 week program beginning on November 30, 2013 to March 8, 2014, every Saturday morning, 8-10 at the Steriti Skating Rink. Full equipment is required and the cost is only $300.00.
