Boston Fire was called to 78 Prince Street in the North End for a possible problem with a chimney above Bova’s Bakery near the corner of Salem Street. Smoke was reported from the roof about 6:00 pm on Monday night. The street was later cleared, apparently without incident. Photo by @bostonbibs.

Boston Fire Responds to North Bennet Street, Site of Eliot School Expansion; Fireman Hurt

Boston Fire Department responded to North Bennet Street where smoke was visible but no flames, at least from the exterior. The vacant building is under construction for the expansion of the BPS Eliot K-8 Innovation School. Unconfirmed word from from the scene attributes the accident to a welding fire.
