Downtown Waterfront Planning Meeting Presentations by Marriott Long Wharf, BRA-Owned Long Wharf, 255 State Street, New England Aquarium [Video]

On July 25, 2013, the Downtown Waterfront Municipal Harbor Planning Advisory Committee heard from four property owners in the planning area regarding their current status, challenges and plans for the future. The meeting is part of the Boston Redevelopment Authority’s process for planning and development in the downtown waterfront area (Long Wharf to Moakley Bridge). At the same time, the entire Greenway corridor is being re-zoned using the guidelines established by the Greenway District Planning Study. The meeting was hosted by Chris Busch, Senior Waterfront Planner for the Boston Redevelopment Authority.

A video timeline is shown below so you can jump around to view specific presentations. (Ed: I apologize for the audio. Most of the presenters did not use the microphone so the recorder has to boost its sensitivity that amplifies the background hum from the ventilation system.)

  1. Terrific information. I have never heard anything from these groups before (except the aquarium). So interesting to hear what is being planned.
