The Gassy, also known as DeFilippo Playground in the North End, was turned into a winter wonderland for the annual Christmas in July Movie Night, sponsored by ROC Teen Saturday. Organizer Steven “Virgil” Virgilio set up Christmas decorations, a bounce house and there was holiday music before the movie showing, Holiday Vacation. Free Regina Pizza was enjoyed by all.

NEWRA’s Parks & Open Spaces Committee toured DeFilippo Park on April 10th to brainstorm ideas for improving the open space for residents.
