The North End Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) is proud to announce that they have been selected as a 2013 grantee of Mayor Menino’s Boston R.O.C.K.S!!! Community Grants program. The purpose of the Boston R.O.C.K.S!!! Community Grants are to increase the number and variety of programs serving the youth of Boston and to ensure that our children and teens have access to positive opportunities and safe environments this summer.
NEMPAC and the Nazzaro Center will partner together to provide eight weeks of interactive, educational music workshop with two to four professionally trained musicians and educators on the Prado. The programming will be fun, educational, and inspiring! It will be directly correlated with what genre or style of music we are featuring at our program for the Thursday Night Concert Series on the Prado.
“This workshop series will encourage the overall participation in the arts and show kids how they can get involved and stay involved in music. We want to share through different instrumentation and styles of music how music can express so much more than our own words.” – NEMPAC Executive Director, Sherri Snow.
No pre-registration is required. The workshop will include the Nazzaro Center Camp Kids, The NEMPAC Summer Workshop Kids, and will be open to ALL children and teens from our community.

2:30 pm – 3:30pm, Ages 11 and under
