North End / Waterfront Events on the Calendar:
This year’s Memorial Day remembrance tribute concert will be on Monday, May 27, 2013 at Christopher Columbus Park starting at 6:30 pm. It’s a free concert featuring the Metropolitan Wind Symphony and the Boston City Singers. Bring a towel or lawn chair to honor our veterans and military heros on this special holiday. See the flyer.
- USS Constitution will conduct a 21-Gun Salute on Memorial Day (Monday, May 27) to commemorate the men and women who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. While Constitution will be open to the public on Memorial Day, the ship will be temporarily closed off from approximately 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the 21-Gun Salute. The 21-Gun Salute is scheduled to commence at noon, with one shot being fired every minute for the next 21 minutes.
