It was a New York City “strEATs” versus Boston “Alliance” Food Truck Greenway’s Wharf District Parks. This was the 2nd annual “throwdown.” Nine food trucks from Boston competed with nine from New York City. The weather was perfect and the event moved from Dewey Square last year to the Wharf District Parks to handle more people. Over 20,000 people showed up according to organizers and there were lines stretching between India and State Streets for a taste from the popular food trucks. And the winner is … Boston for the second year in a row! Pennypackers won the “Best of the Throwdown” and “Best of Boston” awards. Nuchas won the “Best of New York” award. Roxy’s Grilled Cheese also won for “Most Popular.”
