It was Opening Day for the North End Athletic Association (NEAA) on Saturday, April 27, 2013. This year’s event included four games at Langone Park on Commercial street with a pizza party and ceremony in memory of lifelong North End resident, Carmen “Tilly” DeMartino. The opening ceremonies were held on Monday night for the 4th Annual North2South Baseball Classic, sponsored by State Representative Aaron Michlewitz. The North End Athletic Association held a special soccer clinic last week led by Coach Soren Balea from Bunker Hill Community College. Coach Balea brought several BHCC players in uniform that helped run the clinic.
