Photographer Lucie Wicker will be displaying her fitness-themed artwork at Lululemon Athletica on Newbury Street for the month of March.
An all-day event to kick off the show will take place on Sunday, March 3 starting at 10: 00 am. The event will feature a meet-and-greet with the artist from 1-3pm, a local DJ performing, and several other surprises happening throughout the day.
The artwork featured in the show includes portraits of several well-known leaders in the Boston fitness community including North End based Zumba®/spinning/Piloxing instructor Ali Baldassare, Pilates instructor Jennifer Phelan, and Chris Gagnon, founder of the CrossCycle® fitness program, to name a few. The portraits in the show highlight the subjects’ impressive physical capabilities- from yoga poses to weight lifting.
Lululemon Athletica makes technical athletic clothes for yoga, running, working out, and most other sweaty pursuits. The store is located at 337 Newbury Street and is open on Sunday March 3 from 10am to 6pm. The work will be on display through March 31, 2013.
Lucie Wicker is a commercial photographer based in the North End who works primarily with fitness instructors, personal trainers, and activewear companies.
