Huge Turnout and Fun for All at North End Egg Hunt

The North End Egg Hunt was a huge hit with over 90 kids showing up at Langone Park, Puopolo Field and the Mirabella Pool area. Eggs were hidden on the ball fields, basketball court, around the bocce courts and the playground. The successful event was organized by Becca Griffin on Friday, March 29, 2013.

A Parks Department worker emptying garbage barrels saw the preparation and said he would need a crew of guys to pick up all the extra eggs! No way with all the kids that showed up.

Boston Fire’s Ladder 1 Engine 8 got in on the action and brought out the ladder truck for some pre-hunt entertainment.

Several eggs blew from the basketball court into the Mirabella pool area. Carl will have a fun egg hunt for himself when it’s time to crack open the pool gates.
