What’s Going On in the North End / Waterfront

At 10 am, the Eliot School holds a preview event on Charter Street.

Later, at 6pm, the St. John School holds its “Make a Difference” Fundraiser at the Hard Rock Cafe at Faneuil Hall Marketplace.

It’s a night for “Friends” meetings … those of the North End Library and those of the North End Parks (Mariner’s House), both at 6:30pm.

Speaking of the library, there are computer classes and a showing of “Greenberg” at 6pm.

Check out the Events Calendar for details on upcoming meetings and activities in the neighborhood.

What’s new on the blog

I stopped by the Eliot School fundraiser dinner hosted by the Mendoza family at Monica’s. The restaurant was packed with parents, neighbors, Eliot staff, local dignitaries and even some Boston Bruin players. Check out the photos.

Still in town despite the NHL lockout, Boston Bruins players Milan Lucic and Johnny Boychuk, came out to support the local Eliot K-8 School at a dinner hosted at Monica’s on Tuesday night. Shown below are the players with Monica’s owner and host, Jorge Mendoza. See more photos.
