What’s Going On Wednesday, October 3, 2012:

  • A farmer’s market with retail trucks will be on City Hall Plaza from 11am – 7pm.
  • Intro to Laptop for Beginners at the North End Library, 25 Parmenter St. at 1:30 pm.
  • The Friends of the North End Branch Library are having a dedication for Phase 2 of the Brick Walkway, 6pm at the library, 25 Parmenter St.

What’s new on the blog:

One of the largest North End property transformations is about to get underway on North and Richmond Streets as the North Bennet Street School plans its new campus. NBSS President Miquel Gomez-Ibanez and the development team presented this week at a community meeting. See the design plans in the video.

Restaurant News and Updates:

Lucia Ristorante has been a Hanover Street fixture for 35 years. To celebrate the anniversary, they are bringing back the 1977 menu in October while helping a restaurant educational foundation. See the news release.

Prezza’s Anthony Caturano gives an update that the re-opening on Fleet Street has been delayed until the end of November or December. More on Facebook.

As a new NEBO is being born at Atlantic Wharf, the fate of the original on N. Washington St. is brought into question. More at the BBJ.
