What’s Going On Saturday, August 18, 2012:

It’s Day 3 of the 102nd Fisherman’s Feast happening on North, Lewis and Fleet Streets. Saturday highlights include a NEMPAC play of the history of Madonna Del Soccorso Di Sciacca at 2pm. Singer Linda Rose goes on stage at 5:30pm, DJ Sal Bartolo at 6pm, Franco Corso at 8pm and The Hitmen at 9:15pm. The West End Children’s Festival is also on Saturday from 12-3 pm on Thoreau Path. See the poster.

We caught up with the North End’s “Fury of Fleet Street,” Tony DeMarco, on Friday at the Fisherman’s Feast where he was signing his book, “Nardo – Memoirs of a Boxing Champion.” DeMarco is the former World Welterweight Boxing Champion and received the Italian-American award last year at the feast. (See the video).
