Message from MassDOT on planned repair work on I-93 N on-ramp at corner of Cross Street and New Chardon Street on Saturday, June 16, 2012:
My name is John Romano and I work for the MassDOT. We are planning on doing some repair work to the I-93 Northbound On-Ramp at the corner of Cross St and New Chardon St. This ramp runs adjacent to the Zakim Bridge. The work will take place on Saturday June 16th starting at 7am with the ramp being closed and milling work beginning at 8am. The milling work is very loud and will go for about 8 hours. We will continue with work throughout the day and concluding with paving operations which will go late into Saturday night and into early Sunday morning.
As you have probably heard on the news the past few days, this will also need to happen up on the Zakim Bridge and will be for a couple more nights. We do not have that work scheduled yet, we will let you know when that is planned but that work will take place overnight because it is on the main line of the highway.
Please let your residents know about the upcoming work on Sat. June 16th and early Sunday June 17th.
I can be reached at (617) 973-7028 should you have any questions.
Regards,
John Romano
