The Cardinals beat the Cubs in a four inning game. The Cards scored four runs in the first, five in the second, four in the third and seven in the forth. JC Pezzuto, Owen Locke and Fred Moseley each had three hits and Francesco Santaniello had two. Pezzuto started the scoring with an inside the park homer and added a double and a triple, Moseley ended the scoring with a grand slam and also had two singles, Locke had a single, double and triple. Francesco Santianello doubled and singled. Nine Cardinals scored runs, with Santaniello, Pezzuto and Serina D’Amico each scoring three times. Cardinals pitching allowed two singles and three walks. The highlight was Francesca Rubino, who struck out three in one and two-thirds innings and, after giving up a walk, started a double play.
