City of Boston Traffic Advisory, Run to Remember
The Boston Transportation Department would like to inform motorists to expect delays and traffic congestion on Sunday, May 27, 2012, due to the annual Run to Remember that will be taking place in the City.
Nearly 6,000 runners will participate in Boston’s Run to Remember 2012. They will gather on Seaport Boulevard at the World Trade Center. Road closures will begin at 7 AM along the following route:
Seaport Boulevard, right on Atlantic Avenue, left on State Street, right on Congress Street, left on New Chardon Street, right on Cambridge Street around Charles Circle, straight onto the Longfellow Bridge, left on Memorial Drive returning to Charles Circle, right on Charles Street, right on Beacon Street, left on Arlington Street, right on Commonwealth Avenue, outbound to a u-turn at Berkeley Street, to Commonwealth Avenue, inbound right on Arlington Street, left on Boylston Street, left on Washington Street, right on Milk Street, right on Congress Street, left on Atlantic Avenue, right on Seaport boulevard ending at the World Trade Center.
Temporary “Tow Zone No Stopping Boston Police Special Event Sunday 7 AM to 12 Noon” will be posted on the following streets:
- Cambridge Street, from New Chardon to Charles Circle
- Seaport Boulevard from B Street to Atlantic Avenue
- State Street, North Side from Atlantic Avenue to Congress Street
Vehicles parked in violation of the posted regulations will be subject to ticketing and towing.
The Boston Transportation Department is advising motorists to seek alternative routes and expect traffic congestion in the area. The Boston Police may implement additional street closures if necessary to ensure public safety.
