On Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm, a Memorial Mass will be offered at Saint Leonard Church in memory of Mario Alfano on the first anniversary of his passing. Mario was a benefactor of the church and the North End / Waterfront community who faced, with great courage, a long battle against cancer that at last took his life one year ago.
Mario Alfano was an active member of the North End / Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) and was often seen working to help the community in many ways. A Prince Building resident, he was also a frequent contributor to NorthEndWaterfront.com providing important updates from the HazMat TaskForce to eliminate dangerous trucks from our neighborhood streets. Member of the Pirandello Lyceum and the Dante Alighieri Italian Cultural societies. Mario was fluent in 5 languages and traveled globally but his heart lay in Italy.
All of Mario’s friends are welcome to attend this Memorial Mass.
