The tenth annual citywide cleanup is happening in the North End on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Meet at the Prado – Paul Revere Mall, off Hanover St. at the North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC). Groups should sign-up in advance by contacting Nicole Leo at nicole.leo@cityofboston.gov. Individuals can just show up on April 28th at 9am on the Prado.

VFW Memorial on the Paul Revere Mall – Prado The annual Boston Veterans Day parade will start at 1:00 pm at Boston Common ending at City Hall where a ceremony will take place. Old North Church will also be offering “Behind the Scenes” tours for active and retire military families from 10am-4pm.

Stephen’s Run 5k Road Race in North End a Great Success [Photos]

The first Stephen’s Run 5K Road Race took place on Sunday, October 13th and was welcomed with over 100 runners and dozens of volunteers. The road race was held in honor of Stephen Perez and to benefit the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans and the Rosanne Sdoia Recovery Fund (See Stephen’s Story Below). The Read More…

Pumpkin Painting on the Prado Photos!

It was a fun pumpkin painting party on the Prado, sponsored by the North End Music & Performing Center (NEMPAC). Kids from the neighborhood came out to decorate donated pumpkins in preparation for the Halloween holiday. Fortunately, the event was held before the storm hit on a sunny, Fall day.
