Boston Public Schools’ Round One registration for the next school year 2012-2013 is Jan. 3-Feb. 3. To learn more about the schools you and your child can choose from, visit the new discoverBPS.org. Your child must turn 4 by September 1st, 2012 in order to register for the public K1. There are limited K0 and K1 seats in the BPS system, but all Boston children are guaranteed a spot in a public Kindergarten (K2) program, and by law must attend school or an alternative educational program (i.e., private or home school) starting at age 6 (1st grade).
