What Will Keep Us In The North End?

“What Will Keep Us in the North End?” That was the question of the hour posed by NEWNC Councilor Jon Sproul and State Representative Aaron Michlewitz to a mix of neighbors at an informal forum, held this week at The Living Room on Atlantic Avenue in the North End / Waterfront.

As stated on the open invite, “There are many reasons for why we all live in the North End.  However, there are also many challenges we face that may prevent us from staying in the North End.  In order to address these challenges, we must come together and develop a solution-focused, collective voice for what will keep us living in the North End.”

Participants were asked to list the top three reasons they live in the North End and the top issues that need to be addressed here. There was also a game of “Get to Know Your Neighbors Bingo.” It was so creative that I scanned a bingo card below in case you want to play along at home!

Light appetizers and a drink coupon were provided courtesy of Representative Michlewitz. For more information and next steps, contact Jonathan Sproul at jonathansproul@gmail.com.
