2011 NEAD Community Service Award Banquet Photos

North End Against Drugs held its 2011 Community Service Award Banquet at Fillippo’s on Saturday, November 19, 2011. Award recipients were honored in the following categories:

  • 2011 Robert Decristoforo President’s Award: Matt Conti, NorthEndWaterfront.com
  • 2011 Barbara Decristoforo Senior Award: Lillian Ferullo & Mary Anne Tordiglione
  • 2011 Emily Pugliano Public Service Award: Nicole Leo, Mayor’s Office
  • 2011 John Dexter Award Unsung Hero Award: Rebecca Griffin, NEMPAC
  • 2011 Uncle Fred Carangelo Organization Award: Friends of the North End Library
  • 2011 N.E.A.D. Alumnus Award: John Pagliuca, Mangia Mangia
  • 2011 Andy Puopolo Youth Award: Alexis Scalia
  • 2011 Walter Salvi NSTAR Business Award: Dayco Services
  • 2011 Anthony Morella Good Guy Award: Boston Parks “North End Crew”
Past award winners are shown at this link. There were no awards in 2010 due to the passing of former NEAD President, Robert Decristoforo. Scholarship recipients were also in attendance for the 2011 Michelina and Raymond Costa Scholarships. The event was organized by the NEAD Board, including President John Romano, VP Rosina Fabbo, Treasurer Karen D’Amico and Clerk Kathy Carangelo. Also on the NEAD Board: Carl Ameno, Officer Teddy Boyle, Laurie D’Elia, Debbie Decristoforo, Mike Giannasoli, George Hadaya, Olivia Scimeca, Mary Wright, Al Vilar and NSTAR reps, Dan MacGillivray & Mey Ngu.

It is gratifying to know NorthEndWaterfront.com has been able to reach so many in our community.
