Andrew Ference of the 2011 Stanley Cup Champions, Boston Bruins, brought the famous Stanley Cup to the North End on Labor Day, September 5, 2011 for a celebratory procession. Putting a North End spin on the event, it was a feast-like parade, complete with the North End Marching Band. But instead of a statue of a saint, it was Lord Stanley that was marched through the streets by Ference and a “few” friends.
It was a wild scene on the feast-weary North End streets with thousands of passionate Bruins fans reaching for the Stanley Cup. The above video captures the action, a few bumps and bruises later.
Topping off the North End parade, there was a Stanley Cup Flash Mob at the Prado, also known as the Paul Revere Mall. Watch the flash mob video.
