On July 12, 2011, the North End Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) continued its free outdoor music series on the Paul Revere Mall (Prado). The series, titled “Tuesdays@7” is open to the public and features NEMPAC’s talented instructors and students.
It was standing room only this week for Opera & Broadway Night with Vocalists Sherri Snow, Chris Schroeder, Fred VaNess, Ralph Garcia, and Pianist Rachel Carpenter. The repertoire includes musical theater duets from Children of Eden and Phantom of the Opera, and Operas duets from Don Giovanni and Carmen. Solo selections include Italian Opera Arias, Neapolitan Songs, and several Broadway numbers. There also was a special piano performance from adult NEMPAC student Aubrey Labourr and flute performance by Executive Director Rebecca Griffin.
