A message from NEAD President, John Romano:

Taste of the North End Supports NEAD and other local Non-profits

Donato Frattarolli and the Taste of the North End have always supported North End Neighborhood Non-profit agencies.  Donato is one of the more generous people in the neighborhood along with many other business owners.  However, The Taste of the North End has reached many of the neighborhood non-profit agencies for many years.  North End Against Drugs has been one of the major benefactors of the money raised at this great neighborhood event for many years.  “Donato and the Taste has supported activites and events for the children of the North End forever”, states North End Against Drugs’ President John Romano.  Our group has recently received a $3000 donation and we are one of several who have been helped by the Taste of the North End boith this year and for several years prior.  They have donated to The North End Music and Performing Arts Center, North End Athletic Association, the ABCD North End/West End Service Center, The Italian American Sports Hall of Fame Scholarsihp Program this past year just to name a few.  Most recently the North End Health Center has partnered with the Taste of the North End which is great – many of the neighborhood residents, especially the elderly count on the affordability of the Health Center and this event helps greatly.

This years’ Taste of the North End is on Friday May 6th and will be held at the Skating Rink on Commercial St, I am asking that as many of my friends as possible attend, the money raised is clearly used to help many, many North Enders – and most importantly supporting kids programs when money is hard to come by, Romano says.  North End Against Drugs Board of Directors will be there to support Donato and the Taste in full force.
