Old North Church InsideThe Old North Church is running a “Donation Box Pew” to collect for area charities. In November, the church collected food and about $1,800 to support a Thanksgiving basket program at the St. Mary’s Food Pantry in Dorchester. In December, the Donation Box Pew was filled with Toys for Tots.
The Donation Box Pew is now accepting woman’s sweaters, scarves and mittens for distribution through the Women’s Lunch Place serving homeless women in the Back Bay. Neighbors are invited to bring new or gently used woman’s winter clothing to the church, which is open daily from 9:30 until 4:00.
