The Friends of Christopher Columbus Park held their annual gala fundraiser at the Marriott Long Wharf Hotel on Friday, November 19, 2010. The event was attended by approximately 350 supporters of the park. The Gala is the major fundraising event for FOCCP which is an all-volunteer neighborhood group that:

  • Provides funding for Annual Trellis Lights (lighting Mon, 11/22 at 5:30pm)
  • Maintains the Rose Kennedy Memorial Rose Garden
  • Purchases New Trees and Plants for the Park
  • And much more … see FOCCP.org to get involved!
The gala featured an extensive silent auction with 60 donated items, courtesy of many neighborhood businesses. Patron Spirits set up a a bar made out of ice blocks, complete with the FOCCP logo serving free drinks all night (COO John McDonnell attended). Mike’s Pastry also provided over 500 of their delicious Italian desserts. And the band, Zarba, kept everyone dancing.

  1. This year's gala was the best ever. It was a very classy and fun event. I LOVED the Petron bar. Nice job to all who put it on.
