An Evening of Music at St. Leonard Church on Saturday, November 27

AN EVENING OF MUSIC AT ST. LEONARD CHURCH

Join us on Saturday, November 27 at 7 p.m. at St. Leonard Church on Hanover Street for a wonderful evening of music featuring Fr. Vit Fiala, OFM, cellist, Fr. Tom Washburn, vocalist, and Amy Vinisko, pianist.

Fr. Vit Fiala, O.F.M., is former cellist with the award winning National Theatre in Brno, Czechoslovakia, as well as the Symphony Orchestra of Brno and Radio Orchestra of Brno. Fr. Vit entered the Franciscan Order in 1991 and was ordained a priest in 1998. He currently serves at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Shrine Church in Youngstown, Ohio.

Fr. Tom Washburn, OFM, serves as Director of Vocations and Director of Communications for the Immaculate Conception Province. His love for music began when he entered religious life in 1991 and Fr. Vit told him, Tom, you vill sing. He both sings and plays guitar. He was ordained a priest in 2000.

Ms. Amy Vinisko serves as Minister of Music at New Preston Congregational Church in New Preston, CT and is currently on the Music Faculty at the Canterbury School in New Milford, CT, where she teaches private piano and accompanies the Canterbury Chorale and Octet. She has attended and performed at the Aspen Music Festival in Aspen, CO, the Britten-Pears Festival in Aldeburgh, England and Rocky Ridge Music Center in Estes Park, CO.
