The annual Home Movie Day event was held this year at Independence Wharf on Boston’s waterfront. Home Movie Day celebrates amateur films by inviting people to bring their films (5 minute clips from super 8, 8mm,16mm, VHS, DVD) to be screened and connecting them with local archivists who help with movie preservation. The event was held on October 16, 2010.
Boston Street Lab is a non-profit producer of programs in public spaces.
They produce programs and installations that:
- put underutilized urban space to use,
- pilot civic and cultural programming ideas for cities so they can be experienced and evaluated today,
- foster a more robust public life and improve the city as a place to live.
