Join The Boston Harbor Association (TBHA) and its partners in examining the impacts of climate change at the “Boston Harbor Sea Level Rise Forum”. The Forum will bring together diverse constituents, including waterfront property owners, residents, public officials, business representatives, environmentalists, and community leaders.

Maps prepared by UMass Boston’s Dr. Ellen Douglas showing the potential impacts of sea level rise in Boston Harbor and climate change on waterfront neighborhoods will be presented. Responses will be provided by Boston Mayor Tom Menino, Princeton University’s Guy Nordenson, coordinator of the museum exhibition “Rising Currents: Projects for New York’s Waterfront”, Chelsea resident and City Council President Leo Robinson, NAIOP Chief Executive Officer David Begelfer, Massport’s Director Tom Kinton, and others.  Open mike sessions will allow for dialogue among participants.

Thanks to support from the Barr Foundation, the Forum is open to all, free of charge. Participants are invited to join the opening session Tuesday, 9 November, 6-7:30 p.m., New England Aquarium IMAX Theatre, with a reception afterwards. Wednesday, 10 November, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., participants are invited to the Forum at the John Joseph Moakley Federal Courthouse, followed by lunch.
