Ezio (left), 4, and Luke, 3, both of the North End, work side by side to decorate their refrigerator magnets at the August 10 Artists in Residence Craft Workshop presented by ParkARTS at Christopher Columbus Park in the North End. Ezio and Luke have come out to the workshops frequently throughout the summer as they love enjoy creating different arts and crafts projects each week. The Artists in Residence Craft Workshops are presented by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department’s ParkARTS program and made possible through support from Bank of America and Comcast. This year’s Memorial Day remembrance tribute concert will be on Monday, May 27, 2013 at Christopher Columbus Park starting at 6:30 pm. It’s a free concert featuring the Metropolitan Wind Symphony and the Boston City Singers. Bring a towel or lawn chair to honor our veterans and military heros on this special holiday.

Boston Art Commission to Begin Review Process for Christopher Columbus Statue on August 11th

Boston Art Commission’s monthly meeting is next Tuesday, August 11 from 4-6 p.m., and it will include public testimony on the Christopher Columbus statue (among other agenda items).   1. That was the final craft-day for the summer of 2010. Gina Choi was a joy for the children to work with.
