St. Leonard’s Peace Garden on Hanover Street was recently underwent a major renovation by the parish. Adding to the renovation, local artist Nathan Swain installed a mural on the back of Assagio’s restaurant.
The greenery mural is printed with a photo Swain took at the Arnold Arboretum. Swain explains, “I approached the church and I also talked to Frank the owner of Assagio. They both liked the idea of covering the blank ugly wall with something green. I had Boston Building Wraps print and install the banner.” See the before and after pictures below.

St. Leonard’s garden is a beautiful place now.
Finally walked past St Leonard’s and actually looked at the new Peace Garden. Looks great. The mural looks so real from Hanover St. Good job Nathan.
