Volunteers Needed for NE Library Book Sale

The Friends of the North End Branch Library have received a tremendous amount of books for their upcoming book sale. They heartily thank the community for their support.

Instead of more books, they are seeking volunteers to help work the sale. They will need help on Friday, May 21st in the afternoon setting up and all day Saturday, May 22nd.

The book sale is Saturday, May 22nd from 10-3 pm at the library (25 Parmenter St). The rain date is June 5th.

A message from Robin Ardito, President of the Friends of the North End Branch Library:

We are finally getting a chance to come up for air and we wanted to
thank all of our neighbors and friends who raised their voices to our
officials and politicians about keeping the North End Branch Library
open! Every bit of support helped to shape their opinion of our
community – that we are connected and strongly in support of our
neighborhood “Treasure”.

Thank you for the letters, emails, signing of petitions, calls,
editorials, and continued patronage of the Branch. Please keep up the
excellent support so that next year, when the budget review cycle
comes around again, our Branch is not one that is at risk!
