Citywide Rally to Support the Neighborhood Library Branches on Sunday March 28th

LibraryNorthEndA timely rally is being organized to support the neighborhood branches of the Boston Public Library, with support for the North End Library Branch.  The event is Sunday, March 28th at 12:00 pm as part of the Citywide Friends rally at the Central BPL Library in Copley Square.

The Friends of the North End Branch Library will be leading the North End group.  You can look for them to group together and unify the message. Any children that can support this (since it’s Sunday) would be awesome!

The group will meet at 12:00 noon on the loading dock side of the library (runs parallel to Boylston Street entrance).  From 12:00 – 1:00 pm they will collect signatures on petitions and quietly demonstrate.  At 1:00 pm, the group will march around the library and then walk through the library peacefully with their signs.

Signs are welcome with messages like, “Keep our North End Branch Library Open.”

As you know, decisions to potentially close neighborhood branches, such as the North End Branch, may be made in the coming weeks so now is the time to come out and show your support. For more information, contact the Friends of the North End Branch Library at folnebread@comcast.net.
