Crowds came over to the watefront to ring in 2010 with fireworks at midnight on Boston Harbor as part of the First Night celebrations. Here are some video highlights:

It is time to make your First Night plans! In the North End/Waterfront area, the biggest event will be the midnight fireworks on Boston Harbor. Christopher Columbus Park is generally the largest gathering point for the fireworks, although almost anywhere on that side of the Harborwalk will have a good view (the barge is already out there sitting in the harbor). The Boston Harbor Association has also arranged for multiple activities: Ring in the New Year on Boston Harbor!
In the North End, Paul Revere House, New England Aquarium, the Improv Asylum and the Fairmont Hotel also have specials highlighted in the brochure. Faneuil Hall is also a designated site for First Night. The Examiner highlights several nightlife spots having special New Year’s Eve events in and around Faneuil Hall.
