“The Improv Asylum in Boston’s North End has built a national reputation for the side-splitting improvisational and sketch comedy it has been churning out six nights a week for nearly 12 years.
But the professional actors and comedians who call The Asylum home are deadly serious about “No Rest for the Wicked Funny,’’ its annual Globe Santa fund-raiser, now in its fifth year.
For 24 hours beginning Friday at 7 p.m., current and veteran performers will provide plenty of comedy in the intimate basement space on Hanover Street with all ticket, food, and beverage proceeds going directly to the Globe Santa Fund.”
