Arthur A. Lauretano, Class of 1957, was kind enough to send in the following information about the upcoming 65th year commemoration of the Christopher Columbus Central Catholic High School.
The year “2010” will mark the 65th anniversary of the founding of Christopher Columbus Central Catholic High School (CCCCHS). The first graduating class was June 1949 and the last graduating class was May 1990.
The class of “1957” will be sponsoring a commemorative Mass at St. Leonard Church in the North end on Sunday May 23, 2010 at 2:00 P.M., followed by an informal gathering after Mass in the church hall.
We invite all graduating classes of CCCCHS and our sister school Julie Billiart to come together. If you have contact with your classmates notify them of this upcoming event.

Fr. Thomas Nicastro OFM was Principal of Columbus High School from 1949 to 1964. He is still alive, is 93 years old and very alert. Father was and I believe still is well known in the North End. His physical health is begining to fail but he is mentally alert. I would be happy to assist readers in making contact with Fr. Tom. He uses both phone and email!
