The MBTA is providing extra transit services on New Year’s Eve including FREE service after 8:00 p.m. Extra MBTA Police will patrol the system to assist with crowd control and safety. Visit the MBTA website for more information.
It was a soggy 2019 New Year’s fireworks display over Boston Harbor as pouring rain at midnight dampened the longstanding tradition.
