Nine neighborhood associations across Boston joined together as part of a Boston Civic Coalition for Voter Education and submitted to the four Mayoral candidates; Mayor Thomas Menino, Councilor Michael Flaherty, Councilor Sam Yoon and Kevin McCrea, a questionnaire that addressed numerous issues, covering five major topics such as development, taxes, and public safety.
The non-partisan, independent questionnaire was created solely to disseminate the candidates’ answers to the associations’ memberships so to better educate voters about their choices for Mayor in the upcoming Preliminary Municipal Elections on Tuesday, September 22.
The participating neighborhood associations are: North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association, Beacon Hill Civic Association, Neighborhood Association of the Back Bay, The Arbor Way Civic Association, Bay Village Neighborhood Association, Fenway Civic Association, Fort Point Neighborhood Association, Ellis South End Neighborhood Association and Roxbury Civic Groups.
Please do not forget to vote on Tuesday, September 22. Polls are open from 7AM-8PM. For more information and polling locations visit: http://www.cityofboston.gov/elections/.
