May 17th – Three Things to Know Today:

1. Looking to entertain the kids? The North End branch Boston Public Library will be hosting toddler storytime (at 10:30am) and baby storytime (at 11:15am). Complete with rhymes, stories, and movement for those ages, no sign up necessary.  Located at 25 Parmenter Street, Boston, MA, more information.

Also: Jewish Heritage Honoree Night at West End Museum, from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. As part of Jewish Heritage Month, The West End Museum is celebrating notable West Enders of Jewish descent. The honorees are Leonard Nimoy, Fanny Goldstein and Gladys Shapiro, all whom are being honored posthumously. Presentations to honoree family members and friends will be followed by a reception with refreshments. The event is free and open to the public. [West End Museum, 150 Staniford St, Boston, MA].

2. It is that time of year again: Your ultimate guide to graduation weekend in Boston. It is one of Boston’s busiest times of the year as families travel into one of the countless Boston schools for college graduations. In addition to giving advice on “where to stay” and “what to do,” Regina Pizzeria was mentioned under “where to eat.” Marked as the original Regina’s location, “no trip to Boston is complete with a stop at 11 1/2 Thacher St. in the North End” read the full article at, Boston.com.

3. Boston, not drinking coffee? Especially in the North End, with all the coffee shops and cafes?

Keep up with what’s happening on the Events Calendar.

Fun Fact:

100 years ago today was a Wednesday, if a person was born 100 years old today and managed to save a dime every day since the age of 5, then that person would have accumulated $3,469.80 today.
