Boston’s First and Tallest Tree Lighting at Faneuil Hall

The best thing about Christmas tree lightings are that you can go the next day and see it all! On Saturday night, Faneuil Hall was packed shoulder to shoulder to see Mayor Walsh flip the switch. On Sunday, the crowds were gone, but it was just as beautiful.

This year’s Faneuil Hall tree comes from Nova Scotia and is decorated with over 30,000 lights and strobes. It stands at 90 feet, the tallest in the Northeast. Plus, there are another 350,000 lights as part of “Blink!“, the lighting show on all the surrounding trees that runs every half hour, complete with songs by the Holiday Pops. Check out the tree 5pm-10pm through January 4th.
