My good friend Sabrina DelloRusso from Fleet St. was at the Marathon with her friend and North End resident Roseann Sdoia enjoying the race in front of the spot of the second bomb blast. Sabrina suffered minor injuries but her friend, Roseann just inches away, lost one of her legs.
As North Enders always do, we step up in the time of need and help one of our own. Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated, no amount is too small. To donate to help Roseann with her unforeseen medical bills, go to: http://www.gofundme.com/
I just read today that the average health costs of a person with her type of injuries is like around $500,000 over a lifetime.
My prayers are with my friend Sabrina and her friend Roseann and I ask that you pray for them and all the families who were affected by the cowards on Monday!
Also, today, please wear something with BOSTON to show our solidarity and tell the Cowards we are BOSTON STRONG!!!!!

From Roseann’s Recovery website:
Roseann Sdoia was severely injured as a spectator at the Boston Marathon on 4/15/13. Roseann suffered serious injuries as a result of the explosions and has lost a leg at the knee. She has already undergone several surgeries with more to follow. It will be a long journey of recovery, both physically and emotionally. Please help shine the light of kindness, strength and support on Roseann by making a donation of any amount if you can. We love Ro and want her to know that we are all here for her – whether we are friends, family or strangers. Please feel free to donate in the memory of a loved one whose name will help inspire Roseann through her treatment and recovery. Please keep all the victims in your prayers.
