Police Blotter: Beer Bottles Thrown at Officers From Hanover Street Roof on 4th of July

Reported incidents from this week’s Boston Police Journal Log for the North End / Waterfront area of District A-1:

Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Bottles)

Police Officers walking patrol on Hanover St. had 3 beer bottles thrown at them from the roof of a Hanover St. apartment building. At this time, the officers entered the building and made their way to the roof where 7 individuals attempted to flee off of the roof top. The individuals were ordered off the roof down to ground level where they were identified. Six of the individuals identified one male suspect as the person who threw the bottles. He was arrested for Assault & Battery (Deadly Weapon – Bottles) and malicious destruction of property of a 2008 Pontiac Torren which was struck and damaged by a bottle. A 2nd male suspect was arrested for possession of a forged/ counterfeit license.

Victim reports his 2010 Dodge Ram truck was parked at Sargent’s Wharf where an unknown person broke the rear driver’s side window and removed a jacket, medications, shoulder bag, US currency and bank cards.
