Benefiting the Zack Heger Foundation for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, it was a picture-perfect sunset Thursday night filled with “Blazers & Baubles” hosted by WCVB-TV Channel 5′s Bianca de la Garza. Joining Bianca at the Fairmont Battery Wharf was North End resident Jess K. Williams along with 28 Degrees owner Bill Emery, Lauren Fish, Rodney Heger, Margie Lamir Heger and Theresa Ward on the committee to pull off a high profile, celebrity-rich party.
Zack Heger, 19 years old, was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at age 3. The Foundation helps fund research and improve the quality of lives of those afflicted with DMD.
Heger was at the party, along with a bevy of friends and supporters including “the Facebook guy,” Accidental Billionaires author Ben Mezrich with wife Tonya, fashion diva Marilyn Riseman, WCVB-TV5′s Susan Wornick, Emily Rooney, Randy Price and comedian Steve Sweeney. New England Patriots Coach Bill Belichick and Linda Holliday also stopped in for the benefit.
