Neighborhood Service Center Halloween Party [Photos]

The ABCD North End/West End Neighborhood Service Center (NE/WE NSC) held its Halloween party on Friday, October 25th.

To round out the sweets, staff prepared a healthful meal of salad, pork, and veggies. Special thanks go to the North End Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, in particular Mr. Sami Almadi, Administrator/Executive Director; Mr. Edmond Cormier, Admissions Director; and Ms. Karen Halloran, Marketing Director, Marquis Health Services for donating bowls of candy to place on the tables.

There were other sugary treats from friends and elected officials in the neighborhood, including Senator Joe Boncore and City Councilor Lydia Edwards. The seniors were delighted to visit with their elected officials, who made the rounds of all the tables.

Taking center stage was a festive dessert made with pudding, Oreo crumbles, edible ghost and pumpkin, made by Julia, NE/WE NSC Neighborhood Service Coordinator.  There were big decorative pumpkins in the drop-in center, which made the room cozy, warm, and inviting. Guests lingered over coffee and reminisced about Halloweens past in the North End.

Are you a senior interested in joining the NE/WE NSC for weekly meals and monthly celebration and events? Upcoming parties will include Thanksgiving and the December holidays. Please call 617-523-8125 for more information on free membership and programming. Happy Halloween!
