Monday’s Brief: Haymarket Fence Comes Down, Royal Air Force Red Arrows Show, Zumba in the Park

Today is Monday, August 19 and if you missed this past weekend’s Fisherman’s Feast and the exciting Flight of the Angel, don’t worry…there’s still plenty more to excitement to come with this year’s feast season.

Here’s what you need to know for the week ahead…

11:00AM Royal Air Force Red Arrows Show. The Royal Air Force aerobatic team, the Red Arrows, will take to the skies over Boston Harbor to perform an aerial show. Recommended viewing locations include the Charlestown Navy Yard, New England Aquarium, Fan Pier and Castle Island, see additional details here.

6:00PM Summer Fitness Series: Zumba. Stop by Christopher Columbus Park for the Boston Summer Fitness Series. This evenings free class will be Zumba in the park. See a full class line up and additional details here.

Notable News:

At Haymarket, a fence comes down, but is it too late?

Since June 2018 there has been construction-related fencing blocking access to Blackstone street forcing Haymarket’s pushcart vendors to spread out on the sideway. This upcoming Friday will be the first time in over a year the vendors will be able return to their original places, however they haven’t been the only ones affected by the construction fencing, read more on the Boston Globe.

Just a little tribute…
