The Public Realm Vision Video will illustrate a future for the Wharf District that encourages extraordinary possibilities and new opportunities, while fitting in and meeting neighborhood needs today. It will be aimed at decisions-makers, government officials and developers in determining the future of our neighborhood. Community input on content is encouraged.

7:00AM Bike to Work Day. Join Boston-area residents at City Hall Plaza to celebrate National Bike to Work Day. There will be free breakfast snacks and an expo on City Hall Plaza from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Registration is free and encouraged. 8:00AM Free Ferry Day. Celebrate the start of the 2019 ferry service to the Harbor Islands. Catch the ferry to either Spectacle or Georges Island right from downtown Boston’s Long Wharf North. The ticket window opens at 8 AM. On nice weather days, all free ferry tickets are distributed before 11 AM, with all of the departures listed below completely booked at that point, see additional details here.
10:00AM NEWNC Election at the Nazzaro Center. Stop by the Nazzaro Center for the annual election for the North End / Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) from 10am-2pm. All residents in Ward 3, Precincts 1-4, over 18 are eligible to vote.
10:00AM Free History Walking Tour. Join Scot Krueger of the Friends of the Boston Harborwalk at the Boston Harbor Hotel for a combination virtual and walking tour to examine the role that geology has played in the history of Boston, see additional details here.
10:30AM Lecture: From Clark’s Square to Methodist Alley: North End Church. Stop by the North End Library to hear the North End Historical Society president and local historian, Alex Goldfeld, give an illustrated presentation about Old North, New Brick, First Baptist, and many other houses of worship in the neighborhood.
