A procession honoring St. Padre Pio in recognition of the Feast Day which celebrates the 50th Anniversary of his passing was held on Sunday, September 23rd. Held in Boston’s North End, the U.S. Coast Guard color guard led the procession with family and friends of organizers Anna D’Amore Sirignano and Natalina Tizzano D’Amore. A blood stained relic (first class) of St. Pio’s glove was carried through the streets. Following the procession, a Solemn Mass was held at St. Leonard Church on Hanover Street.
