For the sixth year in a row, a group of local non-profits have illuminated Boston Harbor for Labor Day weekend, as another Summer unofficially comes to an end. Twin barges located between Long Wharf and the Seaport provided nearly a half-hour of booming colors to light up the harbor, filled with boats and waterfront activities. The fireworks show is funded privately through donations to Boston Harbor Now, the Friends of Christopher Columbus Park, and the Wharf District Council. The same group is currently raising money for New Year’s Eve fireworks over the harbor. Support the Fireworks Fund here.
