North End Friends of St. Francis House Hold Successful Flea Market & Bake Sale

The North End Friends of St. Francis House held their annual blockbuster flea market & bake sale at the Nazzaro Center on April 8th and 9th. All proceeds are matched by an anonymous donor and go to the homeless shelter at St. Francis House on Kneeland Street in downtown Boston.

Dozens of residents contributed items for the flea market and the two day event saw a big turnout. Of course, there were Mamma Romano’s famous eggplant sandwiches along with homemade baked goods, pastries and other goodies from bakeries around the North End.

A message from John Romano and the volunteers:
Just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of you who contributed to the North End Friends of St. Francis House Annual Fundraiser.  We had another successful event the last two days.  We virtually made as much as we did last year, we are still trying to raise about $350 more dollars, so if you did not yet make a contribution and would like to, you can drop a check made out to St. Francis House in the NEAD mailbox at the Nazzaro Center or give it to Carl for me. We will be collecting until Wed. April 13th.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
